We invite you to take part in the “Open Forum: REINVENT YOURSELF TO DEFY THE CRISIS”. You can do so right now in the Facebook Group: Foro Abierto Feria de Huesca 2011 (Open Forum Huesca Fair 2011) and personally at the 25th Huesca Fair.
Entitled “REINVENT YOURSELF TO DEFY THE CRISIS”, the Open Forum of Huesca Fair 2011 is a communication space to share new ways of thinking and practices to permit artists, companies, producers and distributors of contemporary performing arts to cope with the future challenges in the face of the deep crisis that is being experienced in Spain. The Open Forum is open to any type of initiative that helps reconsider the work models and find new ways of adapting to the current situation. Thus, by sharing experiences, the sector will be able to come out of the critical moments that it is experiencing even stronger.
All ideas and experiences will be welcome at the Open Forum. It does not matter if they refer to creation, production, financing, management, administration, promotion or communication processes, as each and every one of the aspects of artists and companies’ work structures must be taken into consideration. The Open Forum will be held in two phases. The first will take place online, in the Facebook Group “ "Foro Abierto Feria de Huesca 2011" (“Open Forum Huesca Fair 2011). The second phase will be face-to-face during Huesca Fair 2011.
Ideas, information and exemplary experiences will be compiled in the Facebook Group to redefine the different aspects that affect the current way of working of contemporary performing arts companies and artists. The most significant proposals will be invited to take part in the face-to-face Open Forum on the 30th September. You can join the Grupo (Group) now and publish your experiences and ideas.
The face-to-face phase will take place on Friday, 30th September, in the morning, within the framework of the International Theatre and Dance Fair 2011.
Short presentations will be made of the most important initiatives that have arisen from the online phase and then the communication will be opened to all the other people attending and by groups and proposal topics.
Following the Open Forum process, some conclusions will be drafted to be disseminated among the cultural and performing arts community.
